   Six Organs of Admittance is the primary musical project of guitarist Ben funkherdkovamapja.taibigcutuhodobilwinipurefheo.co's music is largely guitar-based and is often considered new folk; however, it includes obvious influences, marked by the use of drones, chimes, and eclectic percussive elements. He records albums for Drag City and Holy Mountain, among other labels.. Chasny is also a member of the psychedelic band Comets on.

   On Six Organs of Admittance's self-titled debut, Ben Chasny lays the foundation for the psychedelic folk-blues that he would continue to explore all the nooks, corners, and crevices of in his subsequent work. The record relies heavily on ambience and noise to give the beautiful acoustic guitar pieces a rough-hewn quality that makes them seem timeless.

   SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE is the moniker chosen by guitarist Ben Chasny (Comets on Fire) for his solo productions. From and onwards Chesny has had a prolific output of albums and EPs issued under the Six Organs moniker, and have specialized in releasing highly limited vinyl editions of his works initially; later re-releasing them on CD.
